Offshore Software Development
A product team in India that works inside your repository and your rituals — not a black box that sends a build at the end of the month.

Offshore development tends to fail in three predictable ways: requirements thrown over a wall, a time-zone gap nobody planned for, and code that only the vendor can maintain. We set engagements up to remove all three before the first sprint — shared tools, a fixed weekly cadence, and every line committed to your repository from day one.
What you get
- Fixed scope or time-and-materials — chosen by how clear the scope is. We recommend fixed scope for MVPs and time-and-materials for products that will keep evolving.
- Your NDA signed, or our mutual template — confidentiality is settled before you share your roadmap, data or code.
- Code in your repository from day one — your Git organisation, your cloud accounts, your design files. Nothing is held back as leverage at the end of the engagement.
- A working day that overlaps yours — we work 9:30am–6:30pm IST, Monday to Friday, which covers the UK and European morning and early afternoon.
- Weekly rituals you can see — Monday planning with priorities and owners visible to your team, and a Friday demo of what actually shipped.
How we work with offshore clients
Every engagement opens with a discovery sprint, the same first phase as every project on our process page. You leave it with a written scope, the risks we can already see, and a delivery plan your team can challenge before anyone commits to a long engagement.
From the first sprint the team works in your tools: your repository, your issue tracker, your communication channels. Monday planning sets priorities and owners; the Friday demo shows working software, not a status report. Anything that slips is visible the week it slips, not the month after.
Time zones are handled by design rather than goodwill. Our hours overlap the UK and European working day, so decisions made in your morning can ship the same day. With North American teams the overlap is limited, which is worth planning for explicitly before kickoff.
Handover is part of the engagement, not an afterthought. Documentation, environment setup and the reasoning behind architectural decisions are written down as the work happens, so your in-house team — or another vendor — can take over without starting from zero.
Stack we work in
React, Next.js, Node and TypeScript on the web; Flutter, React Native, Swift and Kotlin on mobile; Python for AI and data work; AWS, Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform for infrastructure.
Who this is for
Startups that need a senior product team before they can build one in-house. Companies whose in-house team needs more capacity on a defined product. Businesses moving an existing product away from a vendor who kept the keys.
What you receive
Source code and infrastructure in your own accounts, a delivery plan you can hold us to, a working demo every Friday, documentation written along the way, and a proposal within 48 hours of the first call.
Frequently asked questions
Is offshore development cheaper?
Usually, because engineering rates in India are lower than in the US, UK or Europe. But the saving only survives if the engagement is run well — rework caused by an unclear scope erases a rate difference quickly, which is why discovery comes first.
Fixed price or time-and-materials?
Both, depending on how clear the scope is. We recommend fixed scope for MVPs and time-and-materials for products that will keep changing.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. We sign yours or provide a mutual template, before you share anything confidential.
Who owns the code?
You do. It lives in your repository from the first commit, alongside the infrastructure in your own cloud accounts.
How do we work across time zones?
Through your own tools, with Monday planning and the Friday demo as fixed points. Our hours overlap the UK and European morning; with North American teams the overlap is limited, so meeting times are agreed up front.
What happens after launch?
Retainer options cover iteration, on-call and ongoing improvement — or we hand everything over to your team, with the documentation already written.
